Belgravia Gate by Wainbridge in the BREEAM Awards shortlist
Belgravia Gate (A.K.A. Falcon), Wainbridge UK portfolio, is proud to announce that it has been placed in the shortlist for the 2021 BREEAM Awards as a nominee in the «Design Stage Award» category. The BREEAM Award is a highly ranked and prestigious award evaluating developments with a consideration made towards sustainable and green construction.

Belgravia Gate is an exclusive project that comprises 12 beautifully crafted residences, located in the heart of London.

The BREEAM certificate signifies that a project has successfully passed a professional assessment which includes an expert review of a building’s construction eco-efficiency. The BREEAM construction assessment method was developed by the BRE — Building Research Establishment in 1990 and consists of 5 levels of compliance based on the quality and the value of an asset. The compliance levels range from Acceptable (In-Use scheme only) to Pass, Good, Very Good, Excellent and Outstanding. The projects are evaluated according to a range of criterion, including the build quality of the development, energy saving, transport accessibility, the quality of materials used and the level of environmental impact, etc. The projects that excel in each category are nominated by BREEAM for the award .
This year the BREEAM Awards event will take place online.

The BREEAM experts have stringent requirements in terms of a project’s environmental evaluation, ecological value and biodiversity preservation. The most notable criterion is the project’s ability to improve the quality of life not only for the residents of the project itself, but for the entire area where the project is situated. BREEAM certification signifies efforts to reduce the negative impact of construction and development on the environment which is in line with the values held by Wainbridge. While working on projects around the world, we strive to use the most modern and sustainable construction technologies, therefore this nomination is a true honor for all of us at Wainbridge.

This year, the assessment of the nominated projects is going to be a challenging process as all of the judges are independent experts who are attentive to detail. All projects in the shortlist have used the best sustainable and green technologies and thus the final decision will not be an easy one. We look forward to receiving the final results.

Belgravia Gate is the latest addition to the long-standing heritage of Belgravia, a collection of 12 beautifully crafted residences located at London’s most prestigious address on Grosvenor Crescent. The harmonious blend of reinvigorated Grade II listed heritage meeting a state-of-the-art design concept ensures Belgravia Gate to be a residential development that exemplifies the original vision for Belgravia. A project of such rarity is set to redefine the benchmarks of design specification and service on a global level.
While the exterior of Grade II-listed Belgravia Gate is testament to its historical significance, the interiors offer 21st-century design on a palatial scale by Thomas Juul-Hansen.
